Shooting Journal. Day 15.

Huge day today.  We came out of the gate fast and had a great first half of the day. We were ahead of the schedule by lunch and we had gotten some great material in the can. We shot a bunch of the new ending and I’m really happy with how it’s playing out so far. I have a couple big scenes for Will tomorrow and I’m interested to see how they play out given the new ending.

We did some work today exploring Becker. There’s been a lot of questions about Becker and who he is, what he does outside of what we see in the movie, and where he goes from here. There has been a suggestion for the “Becker Chronicles” after this film.

Like Becker would be in Deep cover, Jon is deep in character 😉

And we were thinking of other possibilities, or lives, for Becker.  Here’s what we came up with:

Needless to say, we’ve been having a blast on the shoot. As much pressure as I’ve felt at times, it has always been fun, and I’ve always felt good about what the camera is capturing. I know that the joy we’ve experienced will make it’s way into the picture. There are points in this film where it has to be fun and full of life. If we were on a shoot where everyone hated each other, we could not do that.

We’re looking down the barrel of our last few days and people are starting to ask me what’s next. “What’s the next film we’re doing?” For me that’s a good sign. It hasn’t been all that bad.

That’s hysterical! Hopefully Becker isn’t as creepy as the real Shamwow guy! Thanks again for the behind the scenes look. Maybe all this will be in The Making Of extras when the film comes out on DVD!
